We present a genome assembly from an individual male Platypus cylindrus (the oak pinhole borer; revlon colorstay lip liner plum Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Curculionidae).The genome sequence is 147.5 megabases in span.Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 8 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes.
